FAQ

Where are your group classes located?

Group classes are located at 1318 Eliada Home Rd. Asheville Nc, 28806. This is off of Leicester Hwy, behind the subway.

What should I bring to class with me?

A hungry dog! Some soft training treats, or something that the dog will work well for (preferably something soft and small). Treats should be broken into small pieces. Bring your dog’s bed, or a towel or mat for them to lay on. A 4′-6′ leash (no chain or retractable leashes).

Do I need to show my dog’s vaccination records?

Yes! Please bring a copy of these records to your first class.

Do I need to fill out any paperwork?

Make sure to contact us over phone or email to let us know what class you are interested in, we will have you fill out paperwork at our first session. Also remember to have a copy of your dog’s vaccination records ready.

Does my dog need vaccinations?

Yes! We require vaccinations for parvovirus, distemper, parainfluenza, and bordatella (group classes only), and current proof of rabies vaccination for all dogs over 4 months of age.

What if I can’t make it to one of my sessions?

That’s ok! We ask that you let your instructor know of any conflicts as soon as possible, but if you can’t make it to class we understand. You can make that class up at another time by making arrangements with your instructor if you would like.

What payment options do you take?

We accept cash, check, and credit cards can be taken in person or on our website.

When do I have to pay for my session?

Payments must be completed, or arrangements must be made with your instructor prior to your first session. If you wish to pay by check or cash on the day of your first session, please inform your instructor of  your intentions. We do not count you as signed up until payment arrangements are made.

What if my dog doesn’t do well in a group class?

That’s ok! If your instructor determines it will be a better idea for your dog to be in another class, or private session, they will discuss it with you. Our goal is to keep all of our students happy and safe so they can have the best opportunities to learn and grow.

How long are class sessions?

Most sessions are 1 hour of training and instruction, but with set up and question times they do occasionally run over by about 10 minutes.

Can my family come with me to class?

Yes! We encourage participation from everyone who will have anything to do with the dog on a daily basis. Children are welcome as long as they are able to be supervised by another adult (other than the dog’s handler). Kids can get bored and antsy, please be respectful of your classmate’s desire to learn without distractions. Your instructor has the right to ask anyone to sit quietly or remove themselves if they are being disruptive.
